Colin Cook

A Brief History

Colin Cook was an original member of   "THE THUNDERBIRDS " an early Australian instrumental group from Melbourne. Colin played the saxophone.

Before going solo he worked as a back up session singer, doing back up harmony on FRANKIE DAVIDSON'S "HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO KINGS CROSS".

As a soloist, he was backed by another early Australian group called "THE STRANGERS", but that's another story in itself. He released an LP in 1964. "COLIN COOK AND THE STRANGERS". He sang regularly at Malvern Town Hall on Saturday nights.
