Not to be confused with Buddy Holly's Crickets. Pictured above left: "Dean Barlow's Crickets", Dean pictured Centre (Bronx NY 1953) right: Grover "Dean" Barlow, lead singer of "The Crickets" (1953-54). As a solo on the Jay-Dee label. Dean later returned as lead singer of "The Bachelors" (1956) the group later changing their name to "The Montereys" (1957), both groups including some previous members of  "The Crickets"
