Richard Berry

Berry made a life out of recording & writing music, his most noteworthy work was that of "Louie Louie" recorded in 1956 with the Pharaohs, it failed to chart but predated the charting hit of 1962 recorded by the Kingsmen. "Louie Louie" became one of the most often covered rock standards of all time, there exists well over 1,000 versions.
